Love the level of detail here. You've crammed in such an amount of visual information but the whole composition still looks fresh and balanced and not too confusing. Plus the expressions on the researchers are a delight!
Thank you, Martin! For me, this was all about getting the balance right. There's no doubt that monochrome 80's bedroom helps disguise a lot of the clutter enough to allow the foreground elements to stand out. I really wanted a busy feel to this piece and toyed with the idea of electricity arcing around the background...although I think it might me time to move on!
